For those of you who don't know, I graduated from Dalton State with my Associates Degree and am now Attending West Georgia University. In other news, I also have my braces off at long last, and since it's been awhile since I posted anything here, I decided to change that with this journal that I wrote about today.

Well… I moved into the Dorm Suite today. So far it’s going well. We got here alright, and got my stuff all up here and set up, and after that we went around town shopping for some things. It’s a bit hard to navigate around this town but I hope that I’ll get used to it, but right now I’m just taking it easy. It’s my first time really being on my own and I’m a jumble of mixed emotions. I’m scared, excited, nervous, anxious, and just all other sorts of things. My mom helped me out as much as she could, and then left later.

Right now I’m just trying to stay calm and try to remind myself that I can do this, and that I’ll be ok. It’s just scary to be so far from home the first night but at the same time… I’m not exactly scared… just a bit bored… I don’t know the area well so there’s a lot to explore, but at the same time I’m not exactly sure all that there is to do and what I can do. I mean I can do anything I like but at the same time I’m also confined by the fact I have a room mate. I just hope he’s a good guy when I meet him.

Not sure what I’m going to do these next few days but I know that I have to go back home this weekend. I left some stuff behind and I’d like to get a few more things that I’ll be needing for my stay here.

Also today we had a meteor shower thing going on here and so there was an event that a bunch of people went to, myself included. Sitting here, typing this now I look like a raver with all these glow sticks on me and in my hair but I had a great time and got to know a few new people named Jennifer, Billy, and Brittany whom I had a few things in common with and who were really nice.

Well… as far as days have gone this one has gone fairly well. I’m feeling a bit better about things and can only hope that my days here to follow are just as good as the one that I have had today.
